JWST took a really cool photo of a star forming
A close-in image of a protoplanetary disc around a newly formed star. Many different wavelengths of light are combined and represented by separate and various colors. A dark line across the center is the disc, made of opaque dust: the star is hidden in here and creates a strong glow in the center. A band going straight up is a jet, while other outflows form flares above and below the disc, and a tail coming off to one side. Alt text stolen from Twitter OP

Algorithm take this to the right people

Who can tell me if this vector db search algorithm makes any sense at all before I spend 3 months writing it (text OCRed in alt)
basically I can use the 72 items as a 72-dimensional coordinate grid where every object is positioned at some 72d position then if I use the difference between my vector and the target vector as a thrust vector I can have a momentum value to look up so for an arr[][][] if I have [3][2][5] and I'm near [-7][6] [3] I could grab the thrust vector [10][-4][-2] then translocate my pointer that much, find the same vector from the new array, and apply some coefficient of friction eventually I'll trend to 0 and whatever I'm near will be the minima corresponding to the nearest value to my arr[]...n most likely in <n ops
