You can always give that a try. Worst case is you won't get anything, but you did point out their fault. Best case, you get the issue taken care of.

Since brakes are rather important for safety and survival for you, and other road users... Yes. I'd definitely confront hem about their negligence. Brakes can seize / get stuck when corrosion builds up.

I've done one or two, but whenever I do a #2 in a pamper, it's always rather uneventful, in contrary to some absolute explosions I sometime see :D
