The roottrees are dead is great if you want to do investigatory stuff. You're digging thru old articles and stuff to try and fill out a family tree and solve a mystery. Check out any of the Golden Idol games as well. Owlskip games does a lot of "investigate and fill in the blanks" type games.

put an old jerma video of him playing Lifeline, an old voice activated PS2 game, and hearing him getting so angry when the character doesn't understand what he's saying, which just makes his accent more Bostonian, which just makes him more unintelligible to the game, is hilarious.

I don't draw yautja as much as I used to anymore, but it's still really sweet where I get tags/comments from people still saying that I'm their favorite yautja artist or that they think my yautja are the best. It does honestly warm my heart. Thanks for not forgetting me haha

Having a medication that requires you to eat 300 calories, only being reliably able to take it in the morning, and also having this thing where you're super nauseous and have a hard time eating after waking up--shitty combination, I hate it.

Yeah, the past decade or so I've curated my friends really well, so encountering that in my inner circle after years of great, aware, and empathetic people really threw me for a loop hahaha I was like "oh. Some people really think this way."

The funny thing is that they thought I was Mexican (my character was Mexican and I would speak some Spanish, and I never corrected them) so they would say some shit about Mexicans around me. So they weren't insulting *me*, actually, even though you can tell they were kinda trying to.

I didn't know how to respond to it at the time, so I just went quiet, but it's really funny and baffling to look back at it now.

Being the only non-white person in a gaming group can be risky, Imma tell you now. I ended up leaving so they could all be racist w/ each other instead of at me.

They were trying to tell me that their friends were just "roleplaying" being racist against brown people, and that they themsleves had grown a thick skin because WoW has fantasy racism, and they had to deal with people being fantasy racist against them, and learned to not let it bother them.

Remembering dealing w/ an ex's friends making vaguely racist comments, and I told them I was upset about it, and their response was "yeah well I guess it doesn't bother me because I play WoW and it meant I had to grow a thick skin." And I was sitting there thinking "and also bc you're white???"

i used to do traditional comic inking and also used to do commissions on a con circuit, so I had more use for ink a few years ago, but I haven't done either of those things for a long time and for some reason I don't want to just give it all away, because i'm a hoarder like that

What I'll do is I'll find the next blank page in the notebook and I'll either cut out a sheet of scrapbooking paper to size and paste that onto the page, or take a length of washi tape and fold it down the length of the page, to mark a "new beginning"
