The demise of Twitter was clear but felt even clearer during the past few days: it's lost it's capacity to engage meaningfully in critical development of current affairs

I still maintain my twitter account mostly as an act of squatting on the handle, but every time I check in the site is worse by orders of magnitude. What was for nearly 15 years the most valuable way to learn real-time news from eyewitnesses is a cesspoll of misinformation and sensationalism.
