1) Democrats tend to not use the justice department to go after political enemies, the way trump has and does.
2) The Epstein investigation only just ended this year, so releasing files during an active investigation would be illegal.

Sounds like the excuse is that they’re blaming it on the automated deletion process of DEI material from govt websites. They’ve supposedly admitted the mistake, but not a lot of the deletions have been un-deleted.
