Obsessed with all things dropout.tv coming to terms with the fact that I'll probably never work there 🫠
Pt. 7 As a major bonus, the problem was solved without having to call the police and that I love.

Pt. 6 My point is, I responded to a problem I saw in my neighborhood and now 5 of my neighbors I'd never met before 1. Know my face 2. Saw me helping. That's how you can build trust, even in neighborhoods like mine where the people are politically ambiguous (most often conservative).

Pt. 5 The second time someone finally came to the door and said the owner of the car parked off the curb was their visitor and would
certainly scooch over a bit so the bus could get by. The bus driver was so grateful and one of the kids on the bus said "Thanks dude!" and I've never felt so affirmed.

Pt. 4 So I started knocking on doors. My fear of my neighbors reactions to me gone because of the immediate need the stuck bus presented. After going to 5 houses none with the owner of the vehicles in question inside, I went back to the first which was the only house where no one came to the door.

Pt. 3 The problem was a car across the street that I didn't recognize was parked just far enough off the curb because of the snow that it had turned our one lane road into a no lane road. After letting the bus driver know that the car in front of my house wasn't mine, I wasn't sure what to do next.

Pt. 2 No one was coming out of their houses to help, but the bus driver saw me looking out the window and waved me outside. I threw a coat on and went out to see what I could do to help. I live on a two way street which is effectively only one lane because street parking is most folks only choice.
