If we took the money out of politics we would get better MPs. We need to stop the gifts, the second jobs with astonishing hourly rates and MPs walking into highly paid jobs when they leave office as payment for favours. Everyone can see that the system is crooked.

Until AI can do originality, AI art, music. literature and films will be derivative and second rate. I suspect that investors have been slow to realise this as most of them are much more interested in money than art.

It's no surprise that Trump favours the dictatorial style of architecture, where bigger means better. Hopefully Trump's monuments will suffer the same fate as Saddam Hussain's.

The Chagos islands were unheard of until recently because they are of little importance to us. We would do well to stop pretending that Britain is a world power and focus instead on the real threat closer to home; Putin's Russia.

Trump broke NATO the moment he said that he wanted Greenland and Canada. Our leaders have pretended that they didn't hear him and hoped that he wasn't being serious but hope doesn't make an alliance. An alliance requires trust and nobody trusts Trump.

It's shocking just how many of our country's politicians are prepared to condone Trump's undermining of international law. It isn't just Reform; Boris, Badenoch and the Tories are bought and paid for mouthpieces as well.
