If we took the money out of politics we would get better MPs. We need to stop the gifts, the second jobs with astonishing hourly rates and MPs walking into highly paid jobs when they leave office as payment for favours. Everyone can see that the system is crooked.

Satan has always denied any wrongdoing.

Until AI can do originality, AI art, music. literature and films will be derivative and second rate. I suspect that investors have been slow to realise this as most of them are much more interested in money than art.

Morgan McSweeny pushed for Mandelson's appointment as US ambassador. He's an advisor that gives bad advice. If McSweeney isn't sacked now then Starmer clearly isn't governing in the national interest.

It's no surprise that Trump favours the dictatorial style of architecture, where bigger means better. Hopefully Trump's monuments will suffer the same fate as Saddam Hussain's.

The Conservative party don't need to put out the rubbish; it just defects to Reform.

After Iceland Trump will attack Poundland.

The Chagos islands were unheard of until recently because they are of little importance to us. We would do well to stop pretending that Britain is a world power and focus instead on the real threat closer to home; Putin's Russia.

Emperors throughout history have behaved like Trump, but only when they were children.

Farage says that he needs experienced ex-Conservatives to make a credible government. He's saying that he will fix 'broken Britain' with a government composed of the people who broke Britain. He must be confident that his supporters won't notice this obvious flaw in his plan.

Party Whip required by Reform Party: must have cat herding experience or similar.

ICE are the Gestapo with masks and without the fashion sense.

Reform are very welcoming to refugees... from the Conservative party.
January 15, 2026 at 9:49 AM
'I must invade my neighbour to defend myself' wasn't a credible justification for invasion when Hitler and Putin used it. It won't wash with Trump either.

NATO, Europe and the UK's relationship with America is like a Jenga tower that could come down at any time.

When councils were assessed for potholes were there '10,000 holes in Blackburn, Lancashire'?
January 12, 2026 at 9:12 AM
Should female Trump supporters be called 'Trumpettes'? I rather like it; brash and loud.
January 12, 2026 at 8:48 AM
I see the hand of Putin in Trump's coveting of Greenland. America has little to gain by an invasion while Putin benefits enormously through the destabilisation of NATO. I think Trump is following Putin's orders again.

Trump gets more like a Roman emperor every day and not one of the better ones.

Vance is considering new stylish uniforms for his ICE officers.
January 9, 2026 at 8:32 AM
ICE are the new Gestapo but without the stylish uniforms.
January 9, 2026 at 8:20 AM
Vance has given ICE agents a licence to kill with immunity. America has recreated the Gestapo.

Idiots have never had it so good. The far right has promoted them, platformed them and given them more attention than they have ever had before. We're living in a golden age for stupidity.
January 7, 2026 at 6:35 PM
Trump broke NATO the moment he said that he wanted Greenland and Canada. Our leaders have pretended that they didn't hear him and hoped that he wasn't being serious but hope doesn't make an alliance. An alliance requires trust and nobody trusts Trump.
January 6, 2026 at 10:52 AM
It's shocking just how many of our country's politicians are prepared to condone Trump's undermining of international law. It isn't just Reform; Boris, Badenoch and the Tories are bought and paid for mouthpieces as well.
