When I was living with my parents, they were in a more rural area, which meant as a film enthusiast, I'd have to drive to a theater 50 minutes away to see anything that had limited releases. When PoR came out, Ike being a "Lord" felt refreshing for the series because of the premise for his character. That same refreshing feeling has been coming back because of how Lord characters since then are avatar characters with chosen one qualities. Ike is just a dude and I love that.

You’re not alone. Many other people felt the same as you. The older games still exist and you can go back to those anytime. You don’t ever have to play 3 again once you finish it
