I would love to know what the value to viewers is of having a habitual and shameless liar come on your program to tell shameless lies.

A proper news organization would never invite this person back again and as a follow-up would clarify to viewers the lies that he told.

And this is so obnoxious because actual-politics is kind of a fucking layup right now.

Your opponents are running a historically corrupt government.

Be anti-corruption. Run on fixing the shit they broke, holding assholes accountable, and improving people’s lives.

Duh.

“Strong floor, no ceiling” is absolutely the type of slogan that a focus group of swing voters will tell you they find appealing after it has been a whole hour and they just want to go home.

It’s a slogan for people convinced this country *really* wants a Mike Bloomberg presidential campaign.

It’s a slogan for political operatives who think campaigns are won and lost based on placards and stump speeches.

It tells no story. It has no anchor in the actual world we actually live in. It is a type of politics that eschews being actually political at all.

There should be multiple layers of deeply entrenched protections standing between this grandma being arrested because of the content of what is on her sign, and every single arm of the state involved in her arrest

Tax billionaires out of existence and punish people who commit crimes even if they're rich and/or powerful.

Alternate: #EatTheRich (or tax them modestly; their choice)

Didn't know following a judges order was optional if you personally think it has no standing or grounds.

Good to know.

You should not put lies in the newspaper. Now you are complicit in all the death this article will cause.

So it’s important not to posit false equivalence here: FDA says X, other experts say Y. This stages the story as a disagreement between experts. This is not the case. This entire year has been a sustained attack on vaccines. This is the story.

As a "journalist" your job is not to pass on the obvious lies of incompetent ideologues to your readers as though their claims have been verified or proof has been presented.

Your job is to point out that those tasked with protecting our health are doing the opposite in service of naked ideology.

Such a clear example of spurious correlation it’s impossible to exaggerate how ridiculous and absurd it is and / of course even if it was true and not BS the relative risk would be an absolute no-brainer
