In the center lies an 19th century band organ that's still in use today!

Best part - it is still (and will forever be) just 5 cents a ride!!

Pumping out more station IDs!

Starting here what I used to do (and started to again) on Threads: Daily Meme!

Cause right now, we need to maintain hope with some joy and laughter.

So considering what day it is, today's Daily Meme...

Thank god for a well-timed snow day! Gonna stay under the blankets and relax.

The talk show - the most comprehensive production we've done in the program (so far 🥲) - went great! Our group really came together so well in the end through everything and pulled it off!

Some pictures of everyone involved - couple group shots, our two hosts, our prof, and the production team!

Ready for our talk show on student mental health. Love the set the production team built!

Day 17 in a row of being at the college.

Thank god there's a holiday this Monday, which guarantees that I won't be here - since the college will be CLOSED!! 😅

pressprogress.ca/doug-ford-cr...

Ford complained how people receiving social assistance are "sitting on their couch and watching Flintstones"?

I'm sorry, is this the 80s?

Waiting for him to tell us to get a job by walking into the business and asking the manager for one.

Ugh, at least the wind is calm...

Hung out at my sister's for the Superb Owl party. Her dog got tired by the third quarter and hung out with me. Such a cutie 🥹🥹

Fit check!

I'll be the announcer for the women's volleyball playoff game this afternoon.

With only playoff games for basketball and volleyball left, my time as announcer is almost done for the season. Gonna miss doing it 😭

Woke up to about 10cm of snow!

Luckily it's pretty light and the plows have already gone down the streets.

Here I am at the college...on a Saturday 😅

We're having an open house for our program for high school students to get a glimpse of what it's like, so a bunch of us in the radio program will be running the station today!

I'll be the Sports anchor today!

The finished product!

A few edits here and there to make a clean sound - putting my voiceovers at the right spots and lowering the track volume while it's going.

Thanks to anyone who's watched this - let me know if you enjoyed it and whether you want any other behind-the-scenes looks!

Step 6: The final hook! I'll be having my final voiceover go over this track.

Next step: The finished product!
February 7, 2025 at 4:53 PM
Step 5: Adding another hook! Pretty much a repeat of the last step. I realized later my voiceover between the hooks needed some music behind it (you'll see what I did soon)

Next step: Adding the final hook
February 7, 2025 at 4:51 PM
Step 4: Placing the hook! There's a bit of an art to making things sound 'right'. The part I demonstrate here is relatively easy, but there can often be some subtle touches needed to make things 'flow'.

Next step: Adding another hook
February 7, 2025 at 4:48 PM
Step 3: Song selection! We want to highlight the music in our IDs, so we usually try to get 3 different songs in there.

Next step: Finding the hook!
February 7, 2025 at 4:43 PM
Step 2: Recording my voice! This is where it starts to get fun!

Coming up next: Starting the mixing process
February 7, 2025 at 4:40 PM
Inspired by a classmate who recorded their own creative process, I've recorded a series of videos, demonstrating the creative process I use to produce Station IDs!

This is the first step - writing the ad! Hope you enjoy this behind-the-scenes journey!
