China is expected to buy 25 million metric tons annually for the next three years under the new agreement. They purchased more soy (26-30M metric tons) in every year of the Biden administration.

Trump playbook:
1. Cause problem (tariffs)
2. Offer a worse solution
3. Claim victory

Now they’re set to buy 25 million tons a year for the next three. That’s progress, but still less than Biden’s last year in office.

What do Americans die from, and what do the New York Times, Washington Post, and Fox News report on?

TLDR: No, we die from heart disease & cancer while media coverage is dominated by homicides, terrorism & drug overdoses.

China bought $12.6B in U.S. soybeans last year. Now they buy $0 as a result of Trump’s tariffs. Brazil and Argentina took the market and they are not giving it back. U.S. farmers are paying the price for the administration’s policy failure.

Charlie Kirk didn’t deserve what happened to him, but let’s be clear: he wasn’t “practicing politics the right way.” At best a propagandist and provocateur. At worst a virulent racist and misogynist who exploited religion to mislead, radicalize, and harden hatred in our politics.

The U.S. relies heavily on Mexico for a variety of essential goods. 72.5% of U.S. agricultural imports from Mexico consist of vegetables, fruit, beverages, and distilled spirits. Brace yourself for higher grocery bills—new tariffs on Mexico mean you’ll be paying more for essentials.

Missouri has experienced a 243% increase in Affordable Care Act (ACA) / Obamacare program enrollment from 2020 to 2024. This surge includes significant growth in both Medicaid expansion and Marketplace plans. Paradoxically, Missouri continues to elect GOP politicians who oppose the ACA. 🧵1/3

Farmers face unique stressors in their businesses and are three and a half times more likely to die by suicide than the general population. Expanding mental health resources will help prevent unnecessary suffering.
