Be careful not to waste your effort.
Also, with all the systems that interact with each other, end to end tests are going to give you the most ROI. If your game allows it (if it’s turn mashed or has discrete controls), maybe try to write tests that controls the player at a higher time scale.

Hi! Im going to take a guess and say that you’re a software engineer on your day job. I understand the appeal of tests, but found that during the development stage of a game, the functions are too volatile to make it worth it to write tests until the game is closed to being settled.

Same. I honestly find their courses so useful for providing a stable foundation you can then expand upon. I owe a lot to the @gamedevtv.bsky.social courses.
