Crazy cat dood who plays games, climbs rocks, and yogas. I've beaten every mainline single player Final Fantasy.
Blue Prince would be my dark horse to make it, but I think it is a little too niche. I like puzzle games and fizzled out on it pretty quickly. I feel like DS2 and Split Fiction had bigger conversations around them than KCD2, but I wouldn't be shocked if I am wrong. I didnt play any of those three.

Thanks man! You can always ping me on discord.

I would say the output is the bigger part right now. I just get distracted so easily that I have to limit the possible distraction outlets. The occassional current event will sometimes break through and throw me off though.

That discord may have saved my life. Not sure a lot could happen to make me leave there.

Honestly, I am mostly fine. I just have a tendency to get distracted easily and it makes me feel really guilty, while I also don't feel like I connect with people well over text most of the time. I really enjoyed your posts and chatting with you though!

I loved MS2, it is like if Pokémon actually pushed back in the story. I ended up putting in almost 100 hours and didn't finish everything.

I was having this conversation with a friend. I think 2/3 of the nominees will be Indies for thr TGAs. With the two AAA games being DS2 and DK. Along with E33, Silksong, Hades 2, and Split Fiction.

I tried too and dropped it about 20 hours in. I kept hoping it would open up or get more interesting, and I would argue the opposite happened the further I got into the game.

They're incredible live.

Me this morning when it clicked that I had an annual checkup 30 minutes after it starts and it is about a 20 minute drive away. 🥲

For 6 hours, on expert, refusing to use a one shot strat.

The traps are really strong. I spammed all my traps on one of the two big guys and it died almost instantly. Only time I ever used those.

The other fight I hated was the big ant with a random flyer enemy in a very small hallway. Took me over a dozen tries.

That's the one. I think one of only two combat encounters that felt unfair. The last wave on that is very dumb and I had to use tools i had ignored up to that point to have a chance.

Honestly, phase 3 may have locked it in as one of my favorite boss fights. Period.

My brain had to completely recalculate my game plan to keep up.

If it is the one I am thinking of it was absurd. Honestly the hardest combat I've experienced by a lot and I am at the end of Act 2.
September 17, 2025 at 3:50 AM
I think it is a little overrated and too long. I was pretty done with combat in the last quarter of my Golden Deer run, but I was happy I finished it overall. It ended up being like a solid 8/10 for me.

The runbacks are the reason I will never play Dark Souls again. It has been my direct comparison for Silksong though, wish they learned like FromSoft did.

Man, I can get it on Switch or Dteam, but I want to play on my couch, with my dual sense, and be able to track my progress with trophies. Not sure how much longer I can wait for PSN to get it sorted out...

I am seeing them in Sacramento in a couple of weeks and am stoked! Enjoy the show!
