I got caught out recently travelling to Gatwick. Looked online and the fare quoted was £4.10.
Used the machine at East Croydon and was charged £6.80.
I hadn't noticed the Contactless logo on the screen, didn't need to use the ticket machine at all. The airport is deemed to be in Zone 10.

Confusing. I Really had to study the 3 columns to work out what they meant. Would be flustered if there was a queue of passengers behind me,anxious to catch the next train. I've always considered CJ to be part of London so that's nonsense too.Govt recently took over SW Trains, hope X Country is next

Only blue badge holders will be allowed to use The Galatasaray of East Surrey Stadium and Church Rd for parking.
3 local train stations and 3 bus routes are all situated with a 5-10 minute walk. Both Whyteleafe and Upper Warlingham stations have car parks.
