Last week, students in Jacqueline Lucia’s summer class stepped back in time with a private tour of the historic Nathanael Greene House in Coventry. They had to opportunity to view artifacts from the French & Indian War and the Revolutionary War—and even tried on clothing and equipment from the era!

Earlier this week, we broke ground on 35 new permanent supportive apartments at 371 Pine Street—designed for Rhode Islanders facing both homelessness and health challenges.

This is the future of housing and health in RI. When we build housing, we build futures.

On June 2, Crossroads will break ground on its Health & Housing Apartments: 35 permanent supportive apartments for medically vulnerable adults experiencing homelessness, with a healing garden and space for health and/or behavioral health partners. Because housing is healthcare.

With the installation of exterior brick now underway, construction of our 176-unit Summer Street Apartments has reached another major milestone! 🧱

We’re so grateful for Waterson Terminal—thanks to their generous support, we were able to stock a pop-up shop with essential supplies for our shelter guests and residents.

Last week, students from Rob Roy Academy provided over two dozen free haircuts to our clients through Hope Kutz—a program dedicated to spreading hope, one haircut at a time.

"I've been too embarrassed to get my hair cut for years," shared one client. "This haircut made me feel really good."
