Although I haven't really used it in a couple years, I finally (finally!) nuked my (X)itter account. Before I left, I downloaded an archive of my data and OF COURSE the name of the file started with "twitter" because they still can't get basic shit right

@sounderatheart.com Hope someone told our traveling support to sit quietly and respectfully tonight so as to not potentially offend this sad little human again…
A Minnesota fan got worked up over one of our drummers?? Are we serious right now?

Why are so many Americans interested in celebrating Bastille Day extra hard this year?

It's a puzzlement, isn't it? 🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔

All these people wanting to live a pre-industrial lifestyle (no vaccines, raw milk, heavily meat-based diet, no fluoride, etc): look how few people lived past 40, how many children died before the age of 5, how many women died in childbirth, how many people died due to dirty water/food or infections

Something I wish more people on this platform would understand is that, if your argument can't stand up to even the most basic of fact-checking, make a better argument or you're just spreading differently biased misinformation. #futility

#TIL I cannot STAND books/shows/movies where a ridiculously incompetent person is placed in a position of power and then "hijinks ensue." I'll drop one of those in a heartbeat, ideally before I get too annoyed.

Thanks to the November 2024 US election, I'm somehow living in one of those stories 🤬

I have zero empathy for anyone who voted for #Trump and who is now (or likely to be) negatively affected by his policies: You shouldn't be surprised by anything he's done and, if you are, you clearly weren't informed enough to have voted in the first place.

Thanks for helping to fuck up my country.

I wish I could say this is unbelievable, but welcome to a DoD and wider government that's "supporting our warfighters"

Not sure I would've had Romania as being more vigilant about the dangers of far-right populists than the US, but here we are... www.bbc.com/news/article...

All this talk of the Chinese Communist Party nefariously having its hands in everything has gotten me to thinking that they've gotten to our cat, too: it walks around the house saying "Mao" all the time... 🐈‍⬛

TIL today: people are likely to be unable to have a rational, intellectual conversation about a possible future positive if they believe anything about it is a current (potentially existential) negative, even if it's only imagined.

An interesting thought in light of the recent election.
