I don't think about tropes too too much in my writing. For movies though, I've always hated the "true romantic love is the answer" trope. I am enjoying the short to the love of siblings or friends, but still, love isn't the answer to EVERYTHING!

I'm also not a fan of the sympathetic villain trope
