I believe a more accurate term to use would be “fascist”, though I see your point. Dictatorship is neither exclusively fascist nor communist but it’s either one of the two.

When you get the new vehicle. Look up maintenance intervals/recommended services at specific vehicle milestones, almost all car companies provide these online. A typical oil change interval is every 5k miles.

118k isn't too bad for '96, I've seen way worse for that age. But it's still a fairly large amount of miles for any car.
