My biggest issue is that I live in North Texas, the main battleground setting for the book. And while enjoyed the book thoroughly, it's a little to prescient of our current road to Cristo-Fasciism.

The mention was primarily for people who may not be as familiar. The show (which is fantastic) is a pretty good explainer on the TGC and the ecosystem around it.

I just finished re-reading this trilogy. It has held up surprisingly well and doesn't feel dated at all. This could quite easily be 20-30 years in the future (despite being written 40 years ago).

I can answer the submarines one- they make their own. And if that isn't working they carry cans of oxygen (technically Chlorate Candles)

The person that shot the UHC CEO had the words in the title written on the shell casings of the bullets he used. Implying that the CEO was guilty of taking those actions in order to unethically increase corporate profits.

But we are united, we all (except the oligarchs) want the same things. On about 80 % of issues both sides want the same thing (i.e. abortion) EVERYBODY has been rejoicing over this CEOs death. Eventually there will be a thing that everyone gets behind (my vote is Veterans benefits)

Trump during his first term said “I like taking the guns early, like in this crazy man’s case that just took place in Florida … to go to court would have taken a long time,” he doesn't dare about any of the rights, including the 2nd.

Man, that has been on my mind A LOT today.

There's more angry "customers" than there are security guards. I'm not advocating for violence, but it sure as shit looks like it worked.

Look, finally a solution to the insurmountable problems of the American working class- shoot a billionaire. VIVA LA REVOLUCION!

2/As I see the way the country is going, I keep thinking about the French Revolution. When the public saw no other way to change their circumstances, they turned to violence. I think more and more people are beginning to see violence as the only solution, because the legal ways aren't working.

I am incredibly fortunate in that I have some of the best health insurance in this country (Tricare) [from what I have seen]. I have real empathy for people that have to deal with our health insurance industry. I can absolutely understand why someone would cheer over this murder 1/

I read that yesterday and it was absolutely brutal. The Denial Letter and Denial of Appeal Letters are on point, true to form, and would be funny if they didnt mimic real life.

Is there a guide to setting this up? And does it work with NGINX Proxy Manager?

UNRAID server running Plex, Plexamp, with ARR stack of dockers.
December 4, 2024 at 1:56 PM
You can fit a ton of ....stuff... in an UNRAID setup. The nice thing is it protects your data, and lets you expand the arry as your needs change. Only downside is you can't purchase it off the shelf, you have to set it up yourself. But that allows you to customize to your needs.

I set up an UNRAID server several years ago. Awesome storage solution.

@bloomberg.com if you're going to post an article, don't put it behind a paywall.

Pander to their insecurities and fragile egos by telling them they are still mommies good boy and they didn't do anything wrong. It's all the woman's fault, she wasn't....something enough.

Yes, it has been a truly awful year. Thanks for noticing.

I believe it's a hat, to cover for the premature feather loss. Quite a scandal at the time. And yes feathers for pubes, but those are falling out as well.

I'm going to go out on a limb and say that this is Gibsons best work. I've read the Bridge Trilogy, and I think one more, but this is by far his best, along with his short stories.

But does it matter? All of this, and more, has been known for years. And still enough people voted for him to get him elected, again. What good does it do to point this out if nobody's going to do anything about it?

Where the he'll did you go to HS? In Texas that's considered subversive propaganda. I went to a liberal-ish HS and I might have been kicked out if I had brought it to school.
