3/- bloody affairs with no guarantee of success (what I mean by horrible). We are not at a point where armed resistance is what should be done. Nonviolent resistance is what folks should be doing. Get energized and get out, but leave the guns at home.

Most of your Bsky neighbors that own guns have an idea of how awful that will go. Keep up the non-violent pressure. Get out for the midterms and get prepared in case that doesn’t work.

If you aren’t sure where to start, find a gun club and ask if they do courses. SRA is probably a good starting point for folks around here. Most local ranges/clubs will also have training.

The US military is really good at a face to face fight. Insurgencies are a lot harder to fight and we only half learned the lesson in Afghanistan and Iraq.

The share of electric vehicles is increasing, but the overall number of gas vehicles is still going up.
Also, gas suppliers will dial back refining capacity if demand drops to keep prices up and lower overhead (such as during COVID).

IIRC the change to calibri was primarily a cost saving measure. Small reduction in amount of ink used may not make a difference for the average person, but aggregated over the entire US government it adds up to millions of dollars a year.

The admin is leaning heavily on “…subject to the jurisdiction thereof…” to argue undocumented persons aren’t covered. It is a bad faith argument and wrong, but this SCOTUS might give it to them.

No one opposes voter role maintenance. Millions of people die in the US each year and need to be removed. It is routine/normal.
The only opposition comes up when it is done en masse right before an election b/c it makes it a pain in the ass for valid voters that don’t realize they were purged.

I like the idea of a vegetable garden to supplement food supply, but not my area of expertise. going to try starting one next spring.
