Grateful for your excellently articulated response! I am floored all involved in the production & hosting of this show claim to have zero understanding of why this was irresponsible and flies in the face of journalistic standards and practices!

And there it is again. “Threat or comment, depending on your perspective.” No. The international rules are clear. You do not “muse” about annexing a country. It is, by definition, a threat. So disgusted with this.

Now C-Span is advertising the topic as Trump’s “proposal”. It’s not.
It’s a threat of annexation. A threat against Canada’s sovereignty.
Sound bites could very well be used maliciously and out of context against Canada. The lives of Canadian citizens could be endangered by the fallout.

This amendment to the question is still abhorrent!
