If no one says "Running late" to me, 10 minutes. If I get any guff for it, I file an ethics complaint.

At some point I'm going to attempt to put in a small observatory in every highschool I can, prioritizing Poor and Rural schools. (Indexed by sky darkness. . .)

And ode to the glowing eyes beneath my desk;
When I first found you, I was told you were unadoptable. Your modes of being were screaming and hiding. But you were screaming for love and attention, and hiding from the chaos of the rescue. You are loved, you are home, you are safe. Stop Eating Plastic!

Can't help with $ or food this year, but I did just pass 12 gallons of A positive donated.

Do you want me to snag you some cheese to bring home when I see you in January? What is your favorite tillamook?

If I am in a bad mood I like doing nice things for people to lighten my mood.
If I am in a good mood I like doing random nice things to show random people that guys that look like me can be kind (And should be.)
I am kind and nurturing to provide an example of Positive Masculinity.

Since you tagged me. . . Ayup. I have a SERIOUS issue with this, to the point where I've told my accountability buddy "I'm going to be very selfish in august" and had my accountability buddy note that I absolutely fail at it.

I suspect this is what has led to a lot of tech-bros misanthropy.

I recall it being a bit sophomoric, with a bit of Mary Sue going on, but otherwise a good movie. Been aboot 15 years though. I'm likely to watch it with my best friend over the winter holiday, as she's a fan of Rian Johnson's non-Star Wars work.

I was pleasantly surprised by both. I'm curious, have you seen Brick?
November 25, 2025 at 8:02 AM
Entirely depends where I figure it out. I have a distressing tendency to work it out the moment foreshadowing is used, largely making the story frustrating. However if I don't work things out immediately, but it comes later in the book, I tend to enjoy it for the "surprise."

I stock fluffy blankets for just that purpose. I don't get cold, but all my friends do.

I recommend the Salmon and Chips in the seafood restaurant where Ivars used to be.

100%. Some of my best friends are women doctors. I can relate with them much easier than women who talk about nothing other than tanning or makeup.

Road not taken by Robert Frost.

In general Robert Frost is my favorite poet.

I know a lot of rural folk are open to having their votes earned. But that's the trick, you must EARN the vote. Anti-corruption and protection for small farmers against corporate abuse would go a long way towards that, as well as closing the service gap between rural and urban.

Think your daughter will miss the cats?
November 21, 2025 at 5:28 AM
Happy for you! I miss skiing. I don't miss X at all.
November 21, 2025 at 4:00 AM
Yes, but your cats are royalty and they KNOW it.
