Alexithymia sucks so bad. For my entire life I assumed something was broken about me cuz I never felt emotions like other people seemed to. Lo and behold, I have an UNTREATABLE LIFELONG condition that does that! I'm so tired of being indifferent, and I have so many years ahead of me.

Walked into my local library today and they had the ENITRE AKIRA MANGA along with a bunch of other stuff. I've been meaning to read it for a while now, shit's crazy. Support your local libraries, they'll support you right back.

Trying to get into Ultimate Spiderman is so infuriating. SOMETIMES the show has really cool superhero battles and is just fun to watch, but it relies so heavily on overplayed tropes, observational humor, and stupid quips that it just gets annoying. (1/2)

Dream BBQ is such a cool game. Not only is internet surrealism (and digital aesethics in general) so interesting, but the game manages to combine that vibe with tons of humor, horror, and weird stuff. The mashup of various real world cultures alongside internet stuff is immaculate (1/2).

Just saw someone on the other site describe Indiana Jones going from being an atheist to believing in god as "character growth".
Fcuking yikes, they do know non-religious people (some of whom have endured religious abuse) exist and have feelings, right?

I know everyone's been all happy about moving here from the other site, but I'll be honest the For You section is so much better on the other site. I haven't had to send feedback on a post in months, it's just consistent cool artwork that I really enjoy looking at (1/2).

I feel kinda guilty for being so happy rn with all the shit going on in the world, especially in the US. On the other hand, I've been down this path before of being angry or sad because "that's what the world's like". Maybe I'm better off blocking off all interaction with real world stuff.

One of my favorite pastimes on the other site is to find a Warhammer 40K post either A. Related to xenos and chaos or B. Talking about the imperium being evil. Then, find every account insulting the poster in 40K slang or otherwise whiteknighting for the imperium, and check their profile out (1/2).

Just had the wonderful experience of seeing someone do cool stuff for fun and then just taking a step back and being like "hey maybe I could do cool stuff for fun too" and then actually planning to do said cool things instead of just thinking about it.

I don't entirely remember what I told Bluesky I was interested in, but it certainly wasn't politics and sports. Where the artists at? As horrible as the other site was, I at least had a feed full of cool mech and fantasy art there.

Just watched the first Indiana Jones for the first time, and my god it's a mixed bag. On one hand, it's impressive on a technical level. The acting, set design, score, and cinematography are all great. The lighting in particular is phenomenal. (1/3?)

RFK JR being the secretary of health has the same cartoonish irony as the names of the ministries in 1984. It doesn't feel all that funny anymore.

My least favorite troupe in horror games is when any of the monsters are just pale naked humanoids. It's such a lazy and overdone idea, and it just makes the monsters blend into each other. To any creature designers out there, you're better than making a pale naked dude in a horror game.
