Yes indeed. I just committed to stocking a nearby blessing box. I'm buying fancy canned goods and fun stuff like good tasting protein bars and nice coffee along with the sensible. Mayhap I will include our excess Halloween candy if I'm feeling reckless.

He was interviewed for local radio years ago, and was doing his usual "my gosh, oh golly, see my cutesy bowtie" schtick when a caller asked why he was on the board of Massey Energy. The nicey nice mask dropped fast.

So true! He has the magic. I saw the musical and that poor actor did not have the magic, so the character just seemed like a giant terrible child.

I think patron saints are the wonderful genius of Catholicism. I was raised Catholic but let it all go..except for the St. Francis and St. Jude statues in my garden and the St. Christopher medal on my desk. St. Therese "the little flower" is inspirational.

I saw Joan Rivers in an airport in 2010. I couldn't stop myself from approaching her on the plane and saying she was fantastic while lightly touching her silky sleeve. Joan: TAKE A DEEP BREATH!
