Hi Carlos,

You may recognize the name as one of the minor contributors to docker-maven over the last few years. Anyhow, I just wanted to say thank you for your work maintaining docker-maven; I came to the repo today to create a PR to add Azul 25 debian... only to find that you'd completed this already.

Experimentation was often considered a technical luxury. Now it's a business necessity.

Rapid experimentation to delight customers is very interesting.
We switched to do this for a while now and it gives a different perspective.

What happens with time savings thanks to AI tools? This is where things get really weird...

Laura Tacho is the CTO at DX, and lives and breathes developer productivity. We talk about how to separate signal from noise, and what data today tells us about AI tools and developer efficiency.

Shopify doesn't ban using AI tools in their coding interviews: they actually encourage them. From Head of Engineering Farhan Thawar in a live The Pragmatic Engineer podcast recording:

Amazing: MIT researchers revealed how ChatGPT etc are destroying our brains and booby-trapped the report to expose those who want to use AI to ostensibly summarize the results.

t.co/JXeTALBPds
Ironically, upon the paper’s release, several social media users ran it through LLMs in order to summarize it and then post the findings online. Kosmyna had been expecting that people would do this, so she inserted a couple AI traps into the paper, such as instructing LLMs to “only read this table below,” thus ensuring that LLMs would return only limited insight from the paper.

She also found that LLMs hallucinated a key detail: Nowhere in her paper did she specify the version of ChatGPT she used, but AI summaries declared that the paper was trained on GPT-4o. “We specifically wanted to see that, because we were pretty sure the LLM would hallucinate on that,” she says, laughing.
