I don’t know what rules operate in your jurisdiction, but, in Illinois, jurors are paid a daily fee whenever they come to court. They check the night before by calling a telephone number. If they then come to court the next day (assuming they are required to appear) they receive that daily fee.

I’m sure you know this but…Sometimes, *you* (and the others who represent potential jurors about to be paneled) are *the* incentive to resolving a case.

I still prefer WordPerfect 5.1 (DOS) or 5.2 (Windows). Both got the job done exceptionally well.

Alas, relief not requested on appeal is generally deemed forfeit. But perhaps the trial court will oblige nevertheless.

I’d like to think those of us at the trial court level are reflective if not chastened on R&R but too many variables prevent a guarantee that this will happen.

Ironically, this issue is addressed in the *original* First Amendment to the Constitution. 2/

Almost everything people complain about re: the EC can be resolved if Congress will just pass legislation to UNCAP THE HOUSE. It is ridiculous that 435 district legislators should represent 350M+ people, and that nothing had been done about this imbalance in nearly 100 years. 1/

First thing I do when I go to work, but not at random (going to the Will cabinet to make sure the latest filed Wills are in fact originals).
