Who stands to benefit? Taxpayers who have been funding outrageous benefits to a large group of unskilled workers. Small business who have taken the brunt of the union’s stunning, underhanded and selfish maneuvers.

Nonsense. The vast majority of the service (B2C parcels) is not essential and is currently served better by private companies. Instead we have a union demanding outrageous benefits for unskilled workers paid for by taxpayers.

Canada Post is not supposed to be a hand-out to unskilled workers who aren’t competitive with the private sector. The vast majority of the service (B2C parcels) is not essential and can easily be cut.

Again, a small portion of the operation is a “public” service. The large majority competes (badly) with the private sector. This needs to be eliminated as it is not viable, particularly with outrageous union demands for low-skilled labour.

A small portion of the business could be considered “public” or “essential”. The main money - maker and also cost is through B2C parcel delivery to areas with plenty of competition. So ~80% of the business can be removed as it is not a required public service.
