Coastline Brewing in Westbrook. This was my 3rd time there and first time getting food. I'm thrilled to say the pizza is great (pretzel was Sysco level) Their beer, sadly I've never been a fan of but their staff has always been super nice and now I can say I'd go back for pizza!

Lunch with an old friend at Mondo in Middletown. I hadn't been in about 8 years and i'm happy to say it lived up to my delicious memories! Fries were perfectly crispy, the vegetable panini warm and meaty amd the wine a perfect mid day complement.

New Hartford Diner. A quick stop for a very late 2pm lunch after a day of farm stands and antiquing. Boy, did this seafood mac n cheese hit the spot! Didn't see too many vegetarian/pescatarian choices on the menu, so I'm glad this one was tasty!

East Rock Brewery in New Haven. German style beers are their focus & a welcome & yummy change from CT's NEIPA heavy beerscape. Food options- Asiago pretzel & a plain pretzel paired with jalapeno cream cheese (home run) and a herb cream cheese.

Sayulita in Essex. Original Margherita, chips with guac & mushroom enchilada were the perfect way to end the week. A delight every time!

Teriyaki Salmon from Masa Sushi in Clinton. Absolutely delicious! Generous portions, friendly service. The only downside is the restaurant got busy (nice problem on a Mon night!) so we had some issues getting the check. Otherwise 4 stars!

What is this lovely green concoction you ask? Basil blackberry ice cream! Absolutely delicious somehow lightly herby while still tasting like decadent, rich ice cream....Honeycone Ice Cream has done it again! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Turtle Cafe in Westbrook- a place I've been to happily many times before. This time I sampled the Garden Sizzler- the sundried tomatoes really made this dish special. A smidge on the greasy side so if you're hungover, this would fit the situation. Thankfully, I was not! 4/5 stars!

Turtle Cafe in Westbrook- a place I've been to happily many times before. This time I sampled the Garden Sizzler- the sundried tomatoes really made this dish special. A smidge on the greasy side so if you're hungover, this would fit the situation. Thankfully, I was not! 4/5 stars!
Top honors to The Hangry Goose in Old Lyme. We sat outside and had a beautiful view of the Lieutenant River while enjoying constant coffee refills. I ordered spinachy eggs benedict with potatoes-- absolute perfection! 10/10 flavorful with a beautiful runny yolk. Can't wait to return!

Vincitori in Niantic. A must go! Lunch was cheesy garlic bread with marinara dip and Grandma's pizza- cheese & basil pizza with generous dollops of tomato sauce on top. Their sauce is one of the best sauces in the CT pizza game and is the star of the restaurant!
LaSalle Market in Collinsville, this popular eatery runs like a well oiled machine. We placed our order (4 sandwiches, a salad + a side of fries & waited about 20 min)My pesto and mushroom wrap was worth the wait & a generous size too! The root beer was just ok-tasted like Barqs. Food A+. Drink meh.

Tonight I visited Sayulita in Essex for some delicious Mexican food! A classic margarita($12) was the perfect start to the meal,this was a perfect sweet/tart taste-no bottle mix here! For my entrée I ordered tacos & got 3/$20- a Faroe Salmon, a crispy Brussels sprouts & a fried fish

Centerbrook Pizza- Great Greek style pizza! Not to thick, not too thin. Somehow, it has a great initial crunch with a light airy inside to the dough. I got tomato and garlic. They didn't skimp on the garlic, something I appreciate!⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Ashley's ice cream-- made right here in CT, one of the few small ice cream chains that is open year round. Today's choice was chocolate walnut and Nutella ore. YUM!

Little House in Chester! A tiny gem located in the heart of downtown, with delicious beer (and soda options). Their Sleepy Bee (honey kolsch) is a go to. Also featuring The Drunk Alpaca snacks, all made with local craft beer.

Found myself at Flanders Fish Market in East Lyme and had to try their clam chowdah-delish! Creamy, but not gloupy, loaded with potatoes and clam pieces. Since I'm a pescatarian, I'm thrilled to report this chowder has no bacon! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ for Flanders Fish Market!

Everyone always talks about the Red Sox vs Yankees rivalry in CT but THE REAL debate is Foxon Park vs Hosmer Mountain soda! And Hosmer Mountain wins with their root beer!

The Pursuit of Pastry is one of my fav local bakeries and today I tried their hot cross buns. $8/6pk, they are filled with raisins and dried cranberries, very sweet and moist- no butter needed! On the smaller side (see the comparison to the local supermarket's buns)Their version is a true dessert!

Lightly sweet, a beautiful soda for grown ups! At $14.99/ 4pk it's a great lil' treat that supports local CT eats!
