I wish people who never explore new music to get into would stop asking me what I'm listening to when I KNOW you aren't looking that shit up in your free time. Most people just seem to listen to whatever reminds them of themselves.

Can the art that hooks you, catch you at all if your answers are not already within you to resonate with the art you find? What do you NEED from what you consume? Think about it.

The consumer/viewer/reader doesn't want the answers. They want the questions to continue, but are constantly in "answer searching mode". How many are actually exploring internally to understand why? What answers are you seeking from the art that catches you? What do you think you will find?

IF you're an artist, creating, then I think it's a different story. But if you are a habitual consumer, it is as much your responsibility to try and understand why you consume the art and/or content that you do, as it is the artist's to create what is true in their hearts.

Why do people FEEL that what they WANT is what should be created? All of the best things didn't exist to be wanted until the artists came together to create it. Think Bloodborne. No one knew they wanted it till it existed, then they think they want Bloodborne2... I'm not so sure.

It still surprises me how shocked (offended) people by an "To be continued". Western TV has trained people to expect a satisfactory amount of questions be answered before each episode ends. I know it's what they FEEL they want, but what they want isn't how these stories exist.
