Slashuur was a great character that would have fit in perfectly with the 2003 series, it's a shame he's only in this game.

That's a first, literally within the first 30 seconds of a ranked match, I took out the entire team in Star Wars Hunters!

And now that I know I still have it in me to enjoy games again, I can take it more easy on myself to learn when it's okay to take breaks, and not push sometimes for games I'm not having fun with anymore.

It made for an interesting experiment. Not only did I get to find even more obscure games I heavily enjoyed, I beat games I never finished as a child and I got to tackle systems completely new to me and learn their library too.

Finished TOEM, which makes 40 games completed this year! I will end it on that note. This year was really difficult emotionally and mentally, and I was afraid it took away one of my favorite hobbies. I came up with the idea to do 1 per system (with exceptions) to shake up the formula.

I finished this last night, and while the concept of utilizing a different gameplay genre for each movie is sound at the time, it would have been more efficient if they had just focused on one of them. The light gun mode was the best out of all of them.

I realized I hadn't played any Shoot em ups this year, and I wanted to find a SEGA CD game that wasn't just Sonic CD, this fit the bill perfectly. Great graphics, music, bosses and levels kept me on my toes, even if I didn't fully understand the context of what was was going on. 😂 Another game done!

Beat two games last night.
1) @ragerancor3000.bsky.social and I beat the Fortnite TMNT Dimensions mode!
2) MadWorld on the Wii. The first PlatinumGames title, and literally chaotic. I'm glad I played it in short doses (1 chapter a week). It helped ease the repetition. Also Jack Cayman is bara.

Some of my favorite Sims games have always been when they integrated an adventure/story mixed in with the Sims gameplay elements. The Sims Bustin Out GBA fit this bill, and the Urbz improved on it. A 25 hour adventure, full of job minigames, activities, funny dialogue, a crazy plot. Love this game.

Really this whole series, not just this one. Using the foundation of Bloody Roar's controls, Naruto Clash of Ninja became one of my favorite fighters. Easy to pick up combos, but hard to master advanced mechanics. Each game improved on the core gameplay, and added more of a competitive flair.

This rhythm game is campy, the music choices are all over the place, but fit so well into the game! You save people from the most ridiculous situations (and a tear jerker one). I always still hope for Nintendo to bring this back with Ouendan someday.

Mix Street Fighter and Darkstalkers characters into a puzzle gem based style, and you got this game. I actually competed last year at Long Island Retro for this game and got 3rd, the first time I ever competed in a tourney!

Bomberman has too many games so it's hard to narrow down a favorite. But the highlight is always the multiplayer. Give me a Bomberman game and I shall challenge you to a battle!

The platforming, soundtrack, co-op gameplay, all the right mix to me. And being developed by Capcom and based on a show I love is the the perfect combination.
