Of course I'm not trying to shift the blame from YouTubers here, because when you're in the public eye (no matter how small your definition of "public") and have a platform you have a big responsibility not to abuse that position.

Thankfully it does seem that audiences are starting to get wise to this. Don't put people who don't even know that you exist on a pedestal just because you like their work, especially when they show their true colours again and again. I guess I've always been pretty ruthless in that respect.
