#Knitvember 10/30: Staying strong with this new lacework pattern, got two more repeats of this work done today. It has a name like Horseshoe Lace, I think, but it's almost more like a curved chevron pattern or something (at least that's the way it turns out when *I* knit it... 😅)

Bonus Knitvember No. 9: Took a break from the lacework to pick this cowl WIP back up. Less fidgeting, more math, a good break for my brain and hopeful reset for the lacework to come!

Unfortunately, I soon accidentally dropped or crossed or SOMETHING a yarn-over, and I'm too much of a novice to know how to correct it. We don't have a knitting class this week, and I didn't want to set this aside and have to find something else to work on for two weeks...so! Fourth time's a charm?

#Knitvember 9/30: Posting now so I can give myself a little break later. Frogging back to the accidental increases in the ladder stitch didn't work. In a moment of sleep-deprived frustration, I frogged all the way back to the ribbing and tried the first lacework style again...to mixed results 🥲

#Knitvember 8/30: Made a little more progress, but need to rip this back a row and a half again because I keep forgetting to slip a stitch in the knit row... If crochet made me think I didn't know how to count, lacework is making me question the entire concept of numbers 😂 I'll keep going, though!

#Knitvember 7/30: Would you believe that I've been working on this since 4:30p today? 💀 Following #SoWoolly YT instructions for the "openwork ladders stitch" and after first failing to add my usual 15 rows of ribbing, I then screwed up the pattern a few rows in...twice...before it finally clicked.

Bonus: here's how I have been "storing" my cable hook/needle in between cable rows, because otherwise I kept setting it down and losing it 🤣

#Knitvember 6/30: SUCCESS!!! After 14 total repeats of honeycomb pattern, plus the matching ribbing on the end, tonight Beanie No. 4 was cast off! This is one I'm actually planning to steam-block so that the stitch tension is more evenly distributed. I might cast on No. 5 tonight, first lacework?!

#Knitvember 5/30: Made some more progress at tonight's knitting circle, AND I had the opportunity to demonstrate the process of (and physics behind) how cables work to a fellow knitter! Considering I only learned how to do a purl stitch about a year ago, tonight felt like such a leap forward 🥹

#Knitvember 4/30: Didn't get too much further today, but we're past the halfway point now, so tentatively...woo!
Continuing the charcoal grey knitwear piece, there are now 16 completed "rows" of honeycomb cable pattern completed, with one green size 7 metallic knitting needle visible at the top of the piece. The work sits atop a grey comforter, and in the background a dark cherry wooden jewelry armoire is visible, as are white walls and a doorway.

#Knitvember 3/30: Believe it or not, this is about an hour of work since the previous evening's finale! I just...got about halfway across a cable row on two separate occasions before realizing I had my CB4s and CF4s backwards on that row, frogged it back and tried again. Oh well. More practice!
Roughly the same length of "honeycomb" cable knit pattern piece in charcoal as was posted yesterday, however another completed pattern section has been added. Slow and steady progress! Knitwork sits on top of a lap decked out in black "Cuddleduds" microfleece onesie with white stars and sky-blue stitching and zipper. Black fur from my dog Nasir cuddling next to me is barely visible to the left side of the photo.

#Knitvember 2/30: The honey IS very well combing now! This pattern is much more fiddly than standard cables (as expected) and thus is taking me quite a bit longer, but still I'm close to the halfway point now! The texture is fun to squish. Definitely worth learning, IMO!

So then my phone died before I posted last night, and I fell asleep before the phone had charged, making my very first #Knitvember post 6 hours late 🤣 Alas.

1/30: I am teaching myself new cables techniques after my first cable cap turned out great. This honeycomb pattern has been a fun challenge!

Some time around the 'demmy they expanded their classes beyond standard #Yoga to include #Pilates, #HIIT, #Barre, and more into the same subscription price (which, for me at least, is $23.99/yr). That's less than some people pay for a single class in Johnson County #JoCo #JoCoKS 🤭
