I have been able to organically get discovered and also find people on fedi from absolute zero, multiple times now (even found love once!), but that same thing seems impossible on bsky. if you are an outsider you will remain an outsider

I keep forgetting people actually use bsky. when I've checked it out it seems to predominantly consist of bots that will interact with every post it sees to get your attention, or flood hashtags with slightly-relevant automated posts sourced from elsewhere

I remember when I was younger and was stuck inside with nowhere to go, I would sit and talk to people on the internet in secret, and I would imagine the future when I'm older and can finally meet people IRL other than the people at school who were always mean to me
