The reason Trump has been talking so much lately about the Insurrection Act of 1807 is it allows a president to deploy troops domestically, even over a court declaring the action illegal—which Trump’s military actions in American states clearly have been.

Historian Timothy Shenk is correct to encourage today’s Democrats to look at FDR’s welcoming the hatred of economic royalists, who are basically the same as today’s controlling oligarchs. Handled correctly, this can be a winning strategy people relate to.

As this article reports, Bernie is the most popular politician in America, 10% of Trump’s voters in 2020, which greatly helped drive him to victory, were “Bernie Bros.” Surely now that Trump so clearly betrayed those voters, @TheDemocrats can devise strategy to bring them back.
