#StarTrek TNG "Data's Day": I like the parts with the Romulans a lot & Data's face while he's learning to dance is a hoot. It's also nice to see the night shift. So, does Data work multiple shifts every day? He's awake with Picard as well during the day. Data is very forgiving, working with Maddox.

Buffy the Vampire Slayer S1.10 "Nightmares": The script nicely weaves nightmares into the real world. Cordelia's bad hair nightmare is a funny bit, while Xander being mortified to show off his bare muscles is less convincing. Buffy as a vampire is a highlight. Another winner of an episode.

Nice suit. Guess he's mutton dressed as lamb.

If they found adapting the comics wasn't working, they should have thrown it all aside & done their own thing instead. What we get is neither one thing nor the other. In contrast, Lucifer, the TV series, has almost nothing to do with the comics & is very much a fun experience.

It's not only the gender swap with Constantine - the character's literally not Constantine in how s/he behaves. Overall, the show's overly faithful in areas where the stories don't work for TV, & too unfaithful an adaptation in areas where it could work on TV. SFXs only get a show so far.

For me, Lucifer's casting just doesn't work. Some other casting is OK but not tremendous (Death). However, they mostly have great actors (Dream himself, Destiny, Delirium, Loki, Puck, the Dreaming's inhabitants generally, even Desire). Constantine's completely altered, beyond recognition.

I watched all the way through Sandman Season 2, even the "bonus" episode. It was... not a fun watch, sadly. It forgot to be entertaining. It also felt like it was rushing to an end. The Lucifer plot is simply abandoned, & Dream never even says "It was Loki's fault!" Kinda found it frustrating.

Adding this to my To Be Read pile. I hear it's good. The Bond by F. K. Miller. Fantasy fans should give it a try. #AmReading

Titanic makes genuinely great beer. Love their entire range.

Buffy the Vampire Slayer S1.9: The one with the ventriloquist's dummy. Really good story with a nice twist at the end. New school principal alert! He's a meanie (delightfully so). Many great comic moments, from Giles being made to run the talent show to the Scoobie Gang's play at the end.

Buffy the Vampire Slayer S1.8: It's a demon on the internet & the 1st appearance of Jenny Calendar. The demon spreading chaos & lies is not much different than the everyday normal now. The "You've Got Mail" notifications seem quaint these days. It's a nice episode with great demon FX.

ID cards are, in the history of bad ideas, one of the worst.

It's like governments forget they only rule through consent. When a majority think, "Nah," that's it.

This is very much, "Nah, mate," as ideas go.

Well, I have something I'm working on, or I could do something different. There's a lot I want to do with Titanville Tales...

Very much laughed at the part where Giles refuses to teach Buffy how to use a crossbow because it's too advanced, then gets beaten up with a quarterstaff. His "We'll move on to the crossbow," afterward is delivered perfectly.

Watched the final episode of (what is hopefully merely the 1st season of) Alien Earth & it was solid. No huge battle, but many smaller moments of action. There is much it could do if it continues. Eyeball alien is the standout star (so far). I do like the synths too.

Cod Almighty, what a terrible joke.

Buffy the Vampire Slayer S1.7 "Angel": We learn what Angel really is, Buffy's mom is attacked, there's confirmation that vampires need to be invited in, & Darla comes at Buffy guns-a-blazing, which is epic. The three vampires in armor are, however, lame. This is where the Angel romance really starts

We finished up Wednesday season 2. I enjoyed it. Most characters were well served. Pugsley's roommate didn't get much to do. Glad it's coming back.
