The Ballad of Wallis Island is such a heartwarming and heartfelt little film. Wonderful performances with brilliant comedy and pathos. Seek this one out.

Many moons ago when I was a kid, the playground “rocket ship” was my favourite. I found one on the wild today which triggered many fond memories of simpler times

The latest episode of Severance (S02E07) gave me so many David Lynch vibes. Canadian cinematographer Jessica Lee Gagné's directorial debut was a stunning achievement. I love seeing Lynch live on in the works of the next generation of filmmakers.

I rather liked the movie, "Presence". A slow burn with great acting. Takes a while to build momentum but by the end it pays off very effectively. Soderbergh's cinematography almost became a bit intrusive but it worked for the story's premise. An inventive flip on the haunted house motif.

At the hospital for an MRI, and I noticed they have a special central registration section for victims of magicians and their failed "saw a woman in half" tricks.
