It's a common misunderstanding that unions are led by outsiders, that some union elites at a national office control everything.

This is, factually, not true. Unions are fundamentally democratic. Every single decision, every discussion, every post, every item are voted on by YOU, the members.

Join us for the Ed Weidinger Memorial Labour Day Picnic TODAY. The event will be a celebration of workers, families, and community, at Waterloo Park near the Westmount Rd from 12 to 4 PM. All items will be sold for $1, with proceeds going to the United Way Waterloo Region Communities.

It's official, the GSPA has told us NO, we cannot be at orientation. Apparently, "Orientation is not the appropriate venue." We STRONGLY disagree, and so: We are hosting our own orientation!
