Further to my resolve to read more and doomscroll less at weekends, I have thoroughly enjoyed this traditional-in-the-best-possible-sense secondary world fantasy adventure. Most definitely recommended.
That is not what The Redstone Rescue ended up being, but it was such a compelling line the gears span up and refused to slow down. Pretty soon all the characters had become their own thing but there's still a hint of it in the story.
