Congratulations! Gotta celebrate the wins. I will begin training mine under exactly those circumstances in May. I have a very good weekly service dog trainer and have been in pre-training. I’m excited and nervous. So much work. So much consistent, attentive work. Your persistence is paying off.

I’m so, so sorry. My dear pup was killed by a pack of loose dogs after the flood here. I couldn’t save her and it plays over and over in my head. There is nothing I can say to help, but you’re not alone. The grief and the trauma are separate things to be tended to. Take care of yourself.
