There is no way to recover fully from CPTSD. The condition and nervous system can be managed over time, but it never goes away.

Yes, most years we have a more gentle transition. This year, we had a lot of cold rain/wind when I would have planted early crops so I am hoping for a fall run of peas and bok choi. Those hot temperatures are a killer -- and recipe for huge water bills -- when they go on for weeks. Courage.

Although the marriage is "different" than Alito and some parents want for children to know about, the main character's feelings about being left behind when others experience joy is common/normal/universal at a certain age. This normalcy can be emphasized by booksellers, media, librarians, pub.
