I have been researching into the history of the Farmers Almanac, and it has got me curious into looking at my regional predictions that it is claiming. Janurary of 2025 was record snow, I am very curious if we will break that record.

I invite you all to visit your local small museum. The one that you never noticed before on that drive to work. You just might make someone's day, and learn something. This is ONE of the many museums in the Clearlake CA area. This one is special to me though because my Gran worked here. Post yours

Even when I am on vacation I have to find a museum. This is the Clearlake Historical Museum in CA. My grandmother used to help out here during her time before retirement. I encourage all to find the small histories of your area and share it in this thread. Let me see your favorite places 🙏

I got THIS close to the venus figure. One day it is a goal of mine to touch one. They are so much smaller in person, but so moving. My folks had no reason I was getting emotional in the early human exhibit. Iykyk.

Can we have a discussion about this "act" that was put into place. I read it this morning outloud to my husband and it was jarring to say the least. We are falling back into Jim Crow/nazi era with this proclamation to remove truth, and hope from our museums. I am worried I won't have a field.

Backyard pre-snow wildlife. We have been watching our little deer family (6 now) for the past 4 years. This is the only place I have been able to see foxes, deer, owls, and bobcats live as if we were never here. It is amazing.
