Stick to the plan and execute consequence management for the states that voted for him, and put export tariffs on heavy oil. Conduct massive communication campaigns in the US to counter his propagana machine and educate the US citizens in so called red states about the consequences of his actions.

The damage is already done indeed. Canadians are pissed off and have started making different choices. Hundreds of thousands of snowbirders are contemplating their future plans. People are looking at US controlled 'social' media services influenced by MAGA in a very different light.

And no matter what happens next... the damage has already been done. Canada is going to diversify our markets and as a result our products (including energy!) are going to get a lot more expensive since US now needs to compete with more customers for the next decades to come!
