I am a geriatrician and outpatient palliative care provider. I am grateful for the privilege of taking care of patients.
The world owes an immeasurable, debt to one of our founders. We can only hope and work tirelessly to be worthy of his legacy.

I suppose the answer is to turn to borrowing from traditional institutions. We will have to see the terms of those loans & the consequences they will have on the amount of debt the students will incur, & the limit it will place on them (esp first gen) to be able to generate generational wealth.

Students who have earned their way into their dream institutions may have to forgo that dream. Even with the current borrowing power, many students continue to work through school to pay for expenses, and for students who have families to support, it can be particularly difficult.

This will affect everyone across racial and ethnic lines. Not every exceptional student will be able to receive scholarships to supplement the cost, and not every exceptional student will be able to borrow enough. We can’t count on institutions lowering tuition.
