“It is certain, in any case, that ignorance, allied with power, is the most ferocious enemy justice can have.”
― James Baldwin
These guys all have fully stocked bunkers. The AI risks fall on the rest of us. They should have depicted the captains of industry wearing parachutes and cracking whips on the workmen.

It seems like just yesterday that MAGA was sick of regime change wars waged for the benefit of wealthy unnamed string-pullers and wanted a tell-it-like-it-is straight talker who would put America first.
December 10, 2025 at 8:19 PM
Well, good luck with that.

I support Medicare for All, but if you think there any chance of it happening in time to help the people facing massive increases in their health insurance premiums, you're the delusional one. A one-year subsidy extension could happen in time, and that gives a year for something better to happen.
December 10, 2025 at 7:24 PM
Why three years? Seems like you'd have a better chance of getting Republican votes on a one-year extension, so they can continue their pretense of having a replacement plan that's almost but not quite ready.

He's also declaring a new official felt-tip marker.

The font of whiz dumb.

Given the performance of his hand-picked prosecutors, Trump should be nominated for a "no bill" prize.

It's like if an 80's T-shirt stuffed with used condoms could type.

He's being battered.

I doubt that's the calculation, but if you assume it is, then she must think her odds of being elected governor of Georgia (a state that Trump won by 2 points in 2024) are better if she distances herself from Trump, which must mean that she thinks other voters are also leaving Trump.

Well, there are all kinds of people. There are some dead-enders who will never leave the cult, and there are some that are eyeing the exits. I mean, if MTG can decide she's seen enough, there has to be a bunch more like her.
November 29, 2025 at 10:18 PM
Because the only way this ends well is that enough people leave the cult that it's no longer a political force. If you tell them they are unwelcome outside the cult, they will stay dug in.

Well done, NYC.

Don't do this. You need to leave people an off-ramp.

Group punishment. A hallmark of fascism.
November 29, 2025 at 7:49 AM
I feel like MAGA's notion of justice is the end-state of the Dirty Harry mindset—laws are bureaucracy-bound hindrances to the more reliable gut sense of a "good guy." And MAGA sees Trump as the "good guy," legalities be damned.
November 29, 2025 at 3:38 AM
She's excited because the President used the taboo r-word and she's emotionally 12 years old.
November 29, 2025 at 3:16 AM
The sad fact is that this really would be a material improvement for a privileged subset who are young and healthy. Their health insurance will be cheaper if they don't share a risk pool with sick people. The sick people would be SOL. I wonder if their freedom checks will cover burial expenses.
November 28, 2025 at 5:12 PM
On the other hand, the point of the graphic is not to show that prices are up. We know that. The point of the graphic is to show the extent to which reality is penetrating the MAGA information bubble.
November 28, 2025 at 5:03 PM
Trumpsters will announce their intent to "get to the bottom of this" but with those folks, there is no bottom.

He's got the hole flags at half-mast.
November 26, 2025 at 10:21 PM
He wants Jesus there because that way he can just prepare a single serving of salmon and a single dinner roll and feed the whole gang. And wine, too.
November 26, 2025 at 9:43 PM
The court of law is the one place that the Trump administration cannot just bullshit their way through, and so it's the place they keep losing. I expect they will redouble their efforts to purge the judicial branch of non-compliant judges.
November 24, 2025 at 9:35 PM
It seems weird to assert that a newly crafted districting map currently undergoing a court challenge is the status quo.
