Well, at least he seems to have pushed the Epstein files and Jack Smith’s testimony off my timeline. Mission accomplished?

Good gods, make it so.

This muppet endured the 9 1/2 hour drive and is now happily basking on his own sofa. Home sweet home.

This little muppet took 4 days to get comfortable in the rental place and is choosing to snooze through the packing up happening all around…sorry buddy, upheaval will commence in approximately 12 hours.

My best friend at work skipped buying shampoo last week because her weekly grocery bill has gone from $250 to $350 and her budget doesn’t have a hundred dollars of wiggle room. She’s already maxed out at 60 hours a week where we work and is considering a delivery side gig. This is #America.

Spent the day rescuing my mother from aggressive shopkeepers in Sidi Bou Said, Tunisia. Am obsessed with the (mostly) blue doors. #travel #mediterranean #tunis

At least they haven’t figured out a way to charge us for enjoying the sunset. Pleased to be sharing this one with the feisty black chinned hummingbirds visiting the feeder and a tiny flappy bat. #birds #bats #clouds #sunset

What is an American. Like one half of my family has been here since the colonies (Scituate MA, wassup!! ) and the other half was ENGLISH until the 1960s. How do I use my privilege for good?

I ❤️ LA, my home for 4 years and the backdrop for some of my best stories. Sending peace and love to everyone watching out for their neighbors and exercising their first amendment right to belittle impotent thugs.

So I’m in Houston for work and I decided to check out the Trinity River for birds today. Merlin was just going nuts but I couldn’t get a visual confirmation on much so they don’t get added to the life list.

Didn’t notice it in the moment but @catherinecooke.bsky.social pointed out in our group chat that my wordle made a cool pattern and dad gum she’s right.

Heaven caught a real one today. Einstein was the best little buddy for 9 years and I’m heartbroken that we didn’t get more time. I hope he finds my dad real quick and keep each other company.

About 2 weeks ago, a pair of Canada Geese showed off 6 new babies in my neighborhood lake. As of yesterday, they still had 3, which have easily doubled in size and lost their yellow fuzz. Today they had approximately 30 new puffballs in tow, no other adults in sight. Are they robbing nests?? #birds

One of my most stealthy neighbors enjoys a sunbeam on a fine spring morning…relatable. This still leafless tree is next to the evergreen where the great horned owl and its mate have a nest. #birds

lol Merlin heard a red-tailed hawk when it was a gang of Stellar jays trying to scare off the scrub jays. #birds #nature

Everything is terrible and we live in the stupidest timeline but the birds don’t care. Brave little goldfinches on the feeder moments after I refilled the thistle and the stellar jay who mimics a red tailed hawk before swooping in to snatch peanuts. #birds #nature

And just like that, the clock in my truck is correct again.

lol at United gaslighting me…DEN to RNO didn’t happen because it took over an hour to de-ice wings at BWI and they def didn’t wait for me. Same thing happened this morning on the DEN to SFO flight they rebooked me on, so I also missed that connection. At least all planes have arrived safely?

This absolute unit is the rock wren who spends most of their day on our porch eating the feeder scraps and doing their little wren dance. In glorious borb mode in the melting snow. #nature

Peavine is looking particularly majestic today, the roads not so much. #nature

This is good advice, wish WHO was on here.
I'm an Epidemiologist who worked on COVID response. My concrete suggestion is to follow the safety guidance of the WHO, rather than the CDC. CDC is under executive control & can be muzzled at the president's whim. Scientists around the world are monitoring possible pandemics & communicating to WHO.

Bushtits on the feeder! I put out nyjer, sunflower seeds, peanuts and a seed/mealworm log and they are my first customers. Tell the goldfinches!

Just spent 20 minutes feeding zip recruiter’s AI assistant my background info and job seeking preferences to have it show me completely unrelated openings. Also it disappeared completely…no hint of the thing. As my grandmother used to say, oh for dumb.

Spent NYE making an impromptu fancy dinner, cuddling my furballs, and finding out the $19K collections notice from my former landlord was adjusted to $600. Not too shabby. I hope 2025 is full of new birds on my life list and new recipes tried and an organized garage.

Shuffling around my house in the dark like I’m avoiding sting rays because the cats can’t not be underfoot.
