We are a volunteer street medic collective providing basic healthcare at actions and protests. Based in Syracuse, NY on unceded Haudenosaunee land. ACAB, Free Palestine. Can be contacted at [email protected]
The #1 medical issue we see at large events are usually the result of folks forgetting to take their daily medication. Additionally, don't forget any emergency medications you may need.

Maintain situational awareness, respect people's privacy, and keep yourself safe.

Many events are going to have a lot of people, noise, overstimulation and getting overwhelmed will be easy. It's ok to leave if you get overwhelmed.

Know how to get into and out of the rally area, keeping in mind that traffic may be clogging up some areas. Don't bring pets or small children, and keep a close eye on little ones if you do bring them.

Don't wear contacts. Turn off your phone location (ideally don't even bring it), make sure you need a passcode to sign into your phone not fingerprint or face ID or anything biometric. Turn off phone notifications so that full messages don't appear on your lock screen.
