Damn this is some beautiful work

I started thinking, that I grew up with the original Generation 1 artwork having this pretty watercolour style before they made all the future artwork line up with the anime instead.
Turns out it has an actual name, called the Sugimori style (from the artist).

If you want to make your own, I followed the videos from PowerUpClay on YouTube. I had to guess some of what they were doing but it was detailed enough.

I started with aluminium foil balls that I made. Then sculpted around them.
The ghost is on a stand I took from a Revell Tie Fighter kit that's been hanging around my crafting shelves for a few years now.

And yes, I did a version with one of my abstract backgrounds as well.

The issue with the improving older animations, is I have some people who have bought the same animation as somebody else a few months ago. And now they look fundamentally different because I've made constant changes.
