Alear (colored gray) from Fire Emblem Engage looks confused and frazzled, thinking to herself “Why isn’t the turn ending? Who hasn’t moved yet?” The turn ends automatically once everyone has taken an action.

Lapis (colored gray) and Chloe (colored gray) look to Zelkov expectantly. Zelkov has an annoyed look on his face.

Units who already took an action turn gray in Fire Emblem Engage. Zelkov entire color scheme is already gray, making it easy to mistake he already had a turn.

I think my favorite fictional trope is when the writers are trying to make a character overly "weird" or "off-putting", usually for comedic effect, but end up accidentally reverse-engineering an autistic person
