ive been thinking about the future a lot, as someone who is probably going to have to spend the rest of my life surrounded by other Americans, and one of the better looking potential timelines is one where a lot of normal Republicans have an example made of them, in one way or another

that's not even considering that emissions aren't just an abstract environmental concept, they're something that consumers perceive. lot of people don't like diesel because even modern ones have an unpleasant smell to them, a problem which emissions controls have essentially fixed with gas engines

they're also just. not going to stop putting modern emissions equipment in cars. like going to the effort to differentiate the US market cars from the versions sold in Europe etc would probably end up costing them money

I don't think I'm exaggerating to say that I know more women who play stardew then I know gun and ball gamer guys. "mainly plays cozy life sim games that run on the switch or a laptop" might be one of the largest cadres of gamers
