My first thought on viewing this photo is "Way to go New York Times photo editor!" and the second was to look at the back of Trump's left hand. Is it bruised? There's some discoloration.

There are medieval and later monuments in which ornamental swastikas are displayed and, damn, when you see one today, it's shocking and you have to remind yourself that someone created that motif centuries before National Socialism.
